Igor is a superfriendly host who has turned his childhood home into a small and cosy hostel. It has a very homey vibe and is located right in the city centre. Definitely a very good hostel. I felt completely safe as a female solo traveler. Because itu2019s in the middle of the city centre, I felt very secure walking here late at night, because you donu2019t need to walk through dark and abandoned alleys. Would definitely book again if I ever go back to Sarajevo!
Igor does his best to help his guests have a memorable trip. He gives accurate and honest answers to questions about Sarajevo. I would recommend staying at "The Good Place" Hostel. It is about 100 meters in front of the main stage for the final performance of the Sarajevo Film Festival...so book in advance...and be prepared for a week of parties and late nights...if you come for the week of the film festival. And this place overlooks the busy and main street in Sarajevo. Thank you, Igor!
The property is the owner's family apartment, turned into a hostel. It's very near the old town and Igor the owner (who also lives in the hostel) is a kind & knowledgeable host who is willing to answer tough questions about the town's history (plus give recommendations for places to visit). There's no kitchen for cooking and the living room is outside the rooms, so loud noise can be an issue after 10pm. The beds are comfortable, with socket and curtain. The bathrooms needed better maintenance.
Great location and value for money. The owner showed me the best places in town to visit, all of which were great.
Then night time came and he put glass after glass of rakia in front of me. I didn't think it would end. I would have stood up to him but he was so masculine and strong I was afraid he would pimp slap me so hard that every window in the house would break.
10/10 can't wait to come back.
Host Igor is great host! He seat with us, drink, talk and spend time together just like friends!
Location is unbeatable as it's center of pedestrian street where a lot of cafes and restaurants are located. There is no kitchen to cook nor microwave, but free coffee and tea are offered. And there are a lot of eateries around hostel.
If you are a light sleeper or prefer going to bed early may have issue because some guests drink and talk loud till late night like 1am just outside of the room.
